USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) is a guided-missile destroyer of the United States Navy. This ship was the first ship of her class and was the first ship to be so named. The USS Zumwalt has stealth capabilities, so it has a radar image like a fishing boat, despite its large size. On 7 December 2015, the Zumwalt began sea trials to join the Pacific Fleet. The USS Zumwalt, which is the lead ship of the U.S. Navy's newest class of guided-missile destroyers, arrived in Pearl Harbor. The Zumalt arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Wednesday. Zumwalt-class destroyers are capable of operating near to shore and in the open sea in missions against adversaries.
